Abstract

In order to improve roll stability, some modern cars are equipped with an active anti-roll bar system, which can continuously change the active torque to
suit different motion conditions. In this paper, the authors present research on building a dynamic model of an electro-hydraulic actuator for the active anti-roll
bar system in a car. The authors conduct a survey in the frequency domain about the influence of uncertain parameters on the performance of this actuator.
These parameters are considered to change in the range from -50% to +50% compared to the initial nominal value. The survey results show that the transfer
function magnitude of spool valve displacement, average oil flow, and active torque of the electro-hydraulic actuator change by about 8dB. In particular, the
influence of valve gain coefficient and oil flow rate plays a decisive role in the efficiency of the system. Based on these results, it is possible to propose and select
optimal parameter values for the electro-hydraulic actuator of the active anti-roll bar system in cars.
