CALCUTATING THE INCREASE IN FATIGUE LIFE OF THE STRUCTURE USING VIBRATORY STRESS RELIEF BY DIFFERENT THEORIES

Abstract

This article presents results of the study on the increase in the fatigue life of
the structure using Vibratory Stress Relief (VSR) by a number of different
formulas proposed by many authors around the world. The experiments on the
structure’s fatigue life before and after VSR are also carried out on samples in
according to welding standards and conducted using the LDS vibrating system.
The calculated results are then compared with the experimental results in order
to evaluate and find out the best reasonable theoretical formula in the
calculation of structure’s fatigue life using VSR
