RESEARCH ON THE ARCHITECTURES AND CONTROL ALGORITHMS FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING STATIONS AND ELECTRIC TWO-WHEELER CHARGING STATIONS IN THE CONTEXT OF VIETNAM
Abstract
Vietnam's strong commitments at COP26 demonstrate the determination
towards sustainable development goals, in which the primary task is to promote
the use of clean energy and reduce emissions in all sectors. Traffic electrification,
promotion of renewable energy usage can be considered as effective solutions
towards a green and sustainable economy. In Vietnam, with the great potential
of renewable energy and high rate of motorcycle adoption, the transition in the
transport and energy sectors has distinct characteristics. In order to promote the
transition, studies on supporting infrastructure, especially charging stations in
the context of Vietnam, are essential. This article conducts research on charging
infrastructure architectures and control algorithms for electric vehicle charging
stations, then analyses and proposes suitable architectures for electric twowheelers charging stations in the context of Vietnam. Proposals related to the
integration of renewable sources into the charging infrastructure are also
specifically analyzed in the paper.
