ERP APPLICATION RESEARCH IN REVENUE MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTING IN NORTHERN VIETNAM ELECTRICITY ENTERPRISES

Abstract

Management accounting is a useful tool to help businesses in operating and
managing production and business. In the context of the industrial revolution 4.0 is
happening very quickly, creating opportunities and challenges for strong businesses
in the market. The application of the ERP system helps businesses in general and in
the Northern electricity enterprises in particular improve management, reduce
employee productivity and respond to the continuous changes of the market.
Research data was collected by the authors in 57 electricity units in the North of
Vietnam, through qualitative methods. Research results show that electricity
businesses need to integrate more modules in the ERP system to build norms and
estimate the electricity distribution and trading stages; integrated human resource
management module for the organization and personnel department, integrating
the materials module for the planning and materials department, integrating ERP
with PMIS, integrating ERP with HRMS,... to help power companies to control
entire electricity revenue resources with a large scale.
