Simulation of the Walton-Cockcroft Voltage Multiplier for Teaching Purposes

Abstract

Presenting concepts visually is particularly important in teaching, especially for highly complex specialized subjects. In this study, we utilized Python to develop a package that simulates the voltage multiplier of the Walton-Cockcroft accelerator. This package provides educators and learners with a visual representation of the high voltage generation process of the Walton-Cockcroft accelerator, thus improving the teaching process of lecturers and boosting the understanding of students.
