OCEANOGRAPHIC DATABASE IN THE BIEN DONG WATER

Abstract

This paper provides information about the oceanographic database management software in the Bien Dong waters to provide appropriate data and tools for managers and scientific researchers. The database includes 11 several subdata sets (503,757 stations/296,478 cruises, from 1817 to 2020), extracted from different sources and stored at the Institute of Oceanography. Information on database processing including statistical quality evaluation, storage and data management are described and explained. The software is easy to install and compatible with all versions of Windows. Data is updated quickly and simply. Exported real data or metadata by geographical space and time to spreadsheets.
