Abstract

The performance techniques of the Đàn Tranh (The Vietnamese zither) are highly diverse, incorporating multiple elements. These range from perceiving the nuances and emotions of a piece to handling its execution, including dynamics, technical skills, specifically right-hand and left-hand techniques, seamless coordination between both hands and interval control. Students of the Faculty of Traditional Instruments Performance – Đàn Tranh at Khánh Hòa University, starting from varying levels of proficiency, require focused training to develp their skills, establish a personal performance style, and gain confidence when performing on stage.
