Opportunities and Challenges for the Hotel Industry in Khánh Hòa in Adopting Green Practices from 2025 to 2030.

Abstract

In recent years, the shift in the perception, behavior, and preferences of tourists towards sustainable development has become increasingly evident. As a result, green practices have become a crucial factor and criterion in the establishment, business, and operation of hotels. Not being out of this trend, businesses in the accommodation sector in Vietnam in general and Khánh Hòa in particular have gradually updated and applied various measures to keep pace with the trend. Although it is becoming a trend, there are still many obstacles that reduce the intention to implement green practices in hotels. The Green Transition Project of Khánh Hòa Province for the period 2024-2030, issued in July 2024, will timely address these challenges. The author has used a qualitative research approach with content analysis methods. Based on the analysis of the objectives, solutions, priority green transition projects, and the implementation roadmap, the paper highlights the new opportunities and challenges for the hotel industry in Khánh Hòa in applying green practices in the 2025-2030 period.
