GREEN LOGISTICS DEVELOPMENT SOLUTIONS IN THE SOUTHEAST REGION ACCORDING TO THE SPIRIT OF RESOLUTION 24-NQ/TW DATED OCTOBER 7, 2022 OF THE POLITBURO
Abstract
This study assesses the current state of green logistics in the Southeast region and proposes sustainable development solutions aligned with Resolution 24-NQ/TW, dated October 7, 2022, of the Politburo. Green logistics not only enhances competitiveness but also reduces greenhouse gas emissions, protects the environment, and supports climate change adaptation.
The research methodology employs secondary data analysis and synthesis, integrating the Provincial Logistics Competitiveness Index (LCI) and the Green Logistics Development Framework to evaluate logistics from the perspectives of economic efficiency, environmental impact, and social responsibility. Key evaluation criteria include green logistics economy, green logistics services, regulatory framework, infrastructure, and human resources.
Findings indicate that, despite its significant advantages, the Southeast region’s green logistics sector faces multiple challenges, including high investment costs, limited adoption of green technology, fragmented policy support, inadequate infrastructure, and a workforce that has yet to meet sustainability demands.
To advance green logistics, the study proposes five key solutions:
1. Enhancing policies and financial incentives;
2. Developing infrastructure and multimodal transportation;
3. Integrating technology into logistics operations;
4. Strengthening specialized workforce training; and
5. Raising awareness and fostering industry collaboration.
This study contributes to identifying key constraints and formulating strategic solutions for green logistics development in the Southeast region. Moreover, it lays the groundwork for further research on the impact of green logistics on operational costs and business competitiveness.
