Re-use agricultural resources to mechanical filler for epoxy foundation material
Abstract
Our country is a developed agricultural country. The yield of rice harvested each year from the provinces is huge and is a source of high export turnover abroad. During the process of recovering and milling grain into rice, the amount of separated rice husks is too large. Therefore, rice husks are often recovered and used as fuel or compost for other crops. However, there is a special thing in the composition of the rice husk contains a lot of silicon oxide which is very suitable as a mechanical filler for polymer composite materials. Therefore, the paper has studied the process of recovering and treating the original husk to reuse it as filler for epoxy-based composite materials. Research results show that with the content of 30pkl, the treated rice husks give the best mechanical strength of composite material compared with that of the substrate.
