Solutions to Vietnam's trade deficits

Abstract

In the 2001-2007 though Vietnam recorded high economic growth, quite a few outstanding problems need to be addressed, one of which was high trade decifits, accounting for over 50 percent of current accounts.

This trend has continued in 2008 causing even serious problems for the current accounts, threatening the marco-economic stability and pulling down the economic growth especially raising the high inflation rates and leaving a negative impact on the production and people living conditions.

That is why to identify the causes of trade decifits and seek solutions to th problem so as to build a healthy current account and stabilitize the economy is an urgency.
