Institutions for transactions of agro-products: theory, foreign international and lessons for Vietnam

Abstract

The institutions for transaction of agro products play an important role in the economy in general and in the agro-product markers in particular. Aware of this the government has formulated the policy which hepls develop the agro-product markets, or bring the market closer to the farmers.

However the forms of this transaction in Vietnam still remains very modest. Quite a few newly built markets have been closed right after a few months of their operations, sereval contracts signed between enterprises and farmers have not been realized; enterprises which suffered losses when trading their agro-products via foreign transaction offices have to cease their operations.

Reality shows that Vietnam lacks an effective institution for agro products transaction so as to hepl farmers their commodities.
