Tóm tắt
The Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), signed on March 8, 2018, has created favorable tariff conditions for Vietnam’s shrimp exports to the Japanese market. However, as tariff barriers are progressively reduced, non-tariff measures—particularly stringent regulations concerning quality standards, food safety, and traceability—have increasingly emerged as significant challenges for Vietnamese shrimp exporters. In this context, the article analyzes key non-tariff barriers imposed by Japan on shrimp imports from Vietnam and proposes policy- and firm-level solutions to address these constraints. These recommendations aim to enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of Vietnam’s shrimp exports to the Japanese market.
