Some change management models and applications in managing teaching activities in primary schools
Abstract
Change management in primary education has become an essential requirement to fulfill the objectives of the 2018 General Education Curriculum and adapt to the context of digital transformation. This paper analyzes three representative change management models Kurt Lewin's three-step model, John Kotter's eight-step model, and Prosci's ADKAR model to clarify their applicability in managing teaching and learning activities in primary schools. The findings show that these models offer theoretical frameworks and practical tools that support principals in guiding, planning, implementing, and maintaining change effectively. They also help minimize resistance and foster active participation among teachers, students, and parents. The paper highlights the principal's central role in leading educational change, promoting collaboration, and building a supportive school culture, thereby improving teaching quality and ensuring sustainable school development.
