Enhancing information technology skills of Tay Nguyen University students in the context of digital transformation from a network information security perspective

Abstract

Career prospects in information technology are increasingly promising as technological advancement and widespread internet usage drive demand for IT professionals. Based on a survey of 250 students at Tay Nguyen University, this study analyzes the current status and needs for developing IT skills from the perspective of network information security. Findings indicate that although students express relatively high confi dence in cybersecurity awareness and demonstrate good practices in protecting digital devices, they continue to face online risks such as phishing, diffi culty distinguishing real from fake information, and loss of account data. These results highlight the need for more comprehensive training in digital safety and cybersecurity competencies within the context of digital transformation.
