Nom prayer discourse associated with annual ritual occasions

Abstract

Nom prayers are solemn in nature and are often classified as ritual discourse. This article presents the concept of discourse, the concept of Nom prayers, and analyzes the characteristics of Nom prayer discourse according to the rituals of the year. To address the above issues, we used a combination of research methods, including descriptive method, comparative method, and data analysis method. The research results demonstrate both theoretical and practical significance. Theoretically, the study contributes to consolidating discourse theory and to the application of discourse theory to Nom ritual texts. Practically, it provides valuable reference material for research and for the teaching of language and literature.
