The initial plan to build a marine functional space in Quang Ninh Province for marine economic development

Abstract

Zoning the functional areas of the marine space is an urgent task for the planning of marine economic development. Therefore, the People’s Committee of Quang Ninh Province has set the task of “Marine functional zoning for economic development and marine protection in Quang Ninh province”, which is also the research objective. By using field methods combined with other traditional methods, up to now, it has been preliminarily divided into marine spatial functional areas according to three levels: 04 functional spaces – 12 functional areas – 10 functional groups of subareas. The scheme of marine functional zoning is the basis for developing a map of marine functional zoning of marine space in Quang Ninh province for marine economic sustainable development until 2030, with a vision to 2050.
