Abstract

Currently, in Kon Tum province, poverty reduction efforts for ethnic minority communities are primarily implemented through the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the period 2021 – 2025 (the Program). During the implementation of the Program, Kon Tum has achieved significant milestones, such as a rapid decrease in the poverty rate across the province and improved socio-economic conditions for the people. However, the results of poverty reduction efforts through the Program still face many limitations, such as a high poverty rate among ethnic minorities, a lack of access to basic social services for the poor, limited resources for poverty reduction initiatives, and a tendency among ethnic minority communities to rely on government support. This article analyzes and evaluates the implementation of poverty reduction efforts for ethnic minority communities in Kon Tum province based on the results of the Program so far and proposes several solutions to enhance the effectiveness of poverty reduction in the future.
