Abstract

The Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0), with foundational technologies such as big data, cloud computing, and comprehensive internet connectivity, has become a focal concern for many nations worldwide. In the context of deepening international economic integration, Vietnam's socialist-oriented market economy is no exception to this trend and necessitates proactive policies and measures to leverage the advantages to develop domestic industry while mitigating the potential negative impacts of this revolution. This article outlines the Communist Party of Vietnam's perspective on the socialist-oriented market economy in Vietnam through the Party Congresses, the impacts of the 4.0 Industrial Revolution, and the strategic directions for the development of Vietnam's socialist-oriented market economy in the current context.
