Assessing the capacity of Hai Ba Trung walking street in Hue City to attract domestic tourists

Abstract

This study was conducted to assess the capacity of Hai Bà Trưng Walking Street in Huế City to attract domestic tourists. By integrating a theoretical framework with empirical data, the research provides a comprehensive perspective on the factors influencing the destination’s ability to draw visitors. Key groups of determinants including infrastructure, entertainment activities, cuisine, local residents, safety and security, operating hours, and environmental conditions are examined to identify the critical components shaping tourists’ overall experience. Based on these findings, the study proposes practical solutions to enhance the street’s attractiveness, and offers recommendations for policymakers and tourism stakeholders aimed at promoting sustainable tourism development in Hue City.
