Renovating awareness of economic characteristics during the socialist period – the party’s initiative to protect itself

Abstract

The identification of economic characteristics in this period of Vietnam, that is middle of capitalism and socialism, is a basic content, as well as an important goal in building a socialist society in our country. The current economic characteristic is the result of cognitive innovation following the process of summarizing practice, supplementing theory, and applying science "the law of conformity of production relations to the development level of the productive forces” according to Marxism – Leninism into Vietnamese practice. Renovating the Party’s perception of economic characteristics not only finds the right path to the goal of "rich people, strong country, democracy, justice and civilization", but also the responsibility for self-forging and self-construction; correcting and improving leadership capacity and combat strength; firmly ensuring the Party's ruling role and proactively protecting the Party against all false claims of current hostile forces.
