Military art of President Ho Chi Minh through the poem “Learning to play chess”
Abstract
During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh was not only an outstanding politician, a cultural celebrity, a great poet but he was also a genius military strategist. Ho Chi Minh's military art is contemporary Vietnamese military thought, as expressed vividly in many of his speeches and articles. Learning about Ho Chi Minh's military art through the poem “Learning to play chess” is not only an interesting way to study Uncle Ho's poetry, but it also contributes to clarifying some theoretical and practical discussions of Vietnam's military art during the Ho Chi Minh era, while also actively promoting the campaign "Study and follow Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style" in order to successfully carry out military tasks, national defense, and the construction of a "sophisticated, lean, and strong" army in the current period.
