Development of some types of tourism in Son Hao, Quan Lan, Van Don, Quang Ninh

Abstract

Quang Ninh is one of the few provinces in Vietnam that has sufficient resources to develop a variety of different types of tourism. Regarding sea and island tourism, aside from Ha Long or Tra Co and Co To, the Van Don area has recently grown to become one of the destinations drawing many domestic and foreign tourists. However, according to the preliminary survey, we found that more careful planning and management of this tourism development is still required in order to maximize resource utilization, develop concurrently with conservation efforts, and preserve and restore the natural environment. The exploitation of small retail destinations that offer a variety of services and are adaptable in connecting tours and routes becomes significant in light of significant changes in the habits and consumption patterns of tourists. Based on an analysis of the resources for tourism development in Son Hao village, Quan Lan commune, Van Don district, we discovered that this location can simultaneously develop a wide variety of tourism-related activities.
