Abstract

The victory of the August Revolution in 1945 was the triumph of the Party’s policy of upholding the banner of national independence, promoting national unity, and pursuing a resolute yet flexible path of struggle. The success of the August Revolution was the result of a process of building political forces, armed forces, a united national front, and revolutionary bases. It was also the outcome of the strategy to carry out partial uprisings in various localities from March 1945, leading up to the nationwide General Uprising when the revolutionary conditions ripened in August 1945.
