Abstract
The United States in the 1970s and 1980s experienced major economic and social transformations. While the 1970s were marked by economic challenges such as inflation and the energy crisis, the 1980s witnessed a revival of growth and renewed confidence. Using historical approach combined with statistical methods and sociological research, this article analyzes the trends and consumer perceptions in the United States during these two decades - a period that served as an important transition before the globalization of the 1990s, when the U.S. emerged as the sole superpower with unmatched political, military, and economic strength.
