Abstract

In recent years, affirming the role of higher education, the
government has guided and made very new, very positive reforms for this area.The
issue of stratification and university rankings has been raised by the Ministry of
Education and Training since 2015, but the general mentality of higher education
institutions in our country is avoidance.While the Government is very aggressive
in converting higher education institutions into a form of university autonomy,
avoidance of stratification and ranking will cause the competitiveness of higher
education institutions to decline.On the contrary, actively stratifying and ranking is
an effective solution to develop brand value,improve the competitiveness of higher
education institutions in Vietnam today.
