Trends of green economic development in some countries around the world and reality in Vietnam

Abstract

Green economic development has become an inevitable trend of the modern world economy. Green growth reflects how economies respond to climate change and natural resource depletion; reflect trends in search of new growth models
with green industry emerging as the new growth engine; at the same time, it shows the efforts of governments in restructuring the economy towards green and sustainable growth. In that context, in order to keep up with the general development trend of the world, it is necessary to choose and work towards building a green economic development model in Vietnam. With the advantage of natural resources and the diversity of terrain and climate, Vietnam has great potential to develop a green economy.
