Abstract

The world 's outerwear industry is now focusing on low- and middle-income countries and mostly use manual flat knitting machine due to low capital investment but the products are very stylish, trendy and cheap. Improving technological operations on knitting machines
is based on the application of informatics and microelectronics to support production technology supervision, which will improve the labor productivity as well as reduce the dependence on the skill of the worker. This contributes to creating international competitiveness for products with a relatively large proportion in our nation's textile and garment export industry - knitwear products. This study presents the design and manufacture of an electronic instruction board mounted on a manual knitting machine with software embedded on the microcontroller mounted on it. The instruction panel will work in real time to monitor and support the wearable technology operations. The weaving process is provided for the instruction panel through a software designed on the computer interface that communicates with the user.
