Abstract

This study was conducted to investigate the relationships of perceived risk, the dimensions in the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology 2 (UTAUT2) and behavioralintention to use e-wallet. Data was collected from 275 office staffs working in Ho Chi Minh City. The research findings indicated that: (1) the variable, namely social influence, was rejected in exploratory factor analysis (EFA); (2) Perceived risk has impacts on UTAUT2’s six dimensions (performance expectancy, effort expectancy, facilitating conditions, hedonic motivation, price value and habit) and behavioral intention; (3) Unexpectedly, only four variables in UTAUT2 have effects on behavioral intention; facilitating conditions and hedonic motivation were found to have no influence on intention to use e-wallets of office workers in Ho Chi Minh City
