Abstract

This paper presented the basis of developing learning outcomes (LOs) of undergraduate programme according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) and the guidance of the Ho Chi Minh University of Food Industry to meet AUN-QA standard. Based on the above guiding documents, the Faculty of Environment - Natural Resources and Climate Change has built and developed a draft learning outcome for the Environmental Engineering Technology Programme. During the construction process of learning outcome, we have followed all the steps as instructed in which special attention was paid to the survey step to get feedback on the undergraduate programme’s LOs of relevant stakeholders, including: students; alumini; businesses who employ the graduated students from Environmental Engineering Technology Progamme and experts who come from universities and research institutes. The total number of survey questionnaires was about 50 for surveyed candidates. The survey results show that there was a high correlation in the opinion of the surveyed candidates about the necessity of the learning outcomes of the undergraduate programme. Specifically, the highest level was reached at level 4 (necessary), then the level was 5 (very necessary). The obtained data from the survey questionnaires were analyzed by the percentile method. The average score about the necessary level and the achieved level of LOs were almost above the median level (3.40). This proves that the learning outcomes were designed to be suitable for the undergraduate programme of Environmental Engineering Technology. From the achieved results, we will continue to
complete the steps for building of learning outcomes in accordance with the survey requirements and initially develop the curriculum to meet the learning outcomes of progamme which tend to meet AUN-QA standard for the first step.
