Abstract
This paper presents predictive control technique for 3-phase 3-level diode clamped inverter topology. First, the mathematical description of the inverter's structure is introduced. Next, the predictive control algorithm with three goals of current control, capacitor voltage balance, and switching frequency reduction is presented. Finally, the predictive control algorithm for the 3-level diode clamped inverter is verified and evaluated through simulation results by MatLab/simulink software
