8. Building a single CORS station for cadastral mapping in Chon Thanh town, Binh Phuoc province
Abstract
This article introduces the model for constructing and operating a single CORS (Continuously Operating Reference Station) in Chon Thanh town, Binh Phuoc province, to serve accurate and efficient cadastral mapping. The CORS station provides real-time (RTK) and post-processing (PPK) GNSS correction services, synchronizes with the VN-2000 coordinate system, reduces survey time, saves costs, and improves data quality for land management, planning, and urban development. In the era of digital transformation and modernization of surveying and cadastral work, the application of GNSS technology combined with continuously operating reference stations (CORS) is gradually replacing traditional surveying methods. As a new industrial and urban development center of Binh Phuoc province, Chon Thanh town has a high demand for land surveying and cadastral mapping for issuing Certificates of Land Use Rights, planning, inventory, and effective land resource management. Therefore, the construction of a single CORS station specifically for Chon Thanh is necessary, helping to improve surveying capacity, standardize data, and reduce costs.
