22. Evaluation of the effectiveness of some typical agricultural land use types in Suoi To commune, Son La province

Abstract

This study was conducted in Suoi To commune, Son La province. The objective of the study is to evaluate the effectiveness of typical agricultural land use types, as a basis for proposing more effective agricultural land use, which plays an important role for Son La province in general and Suoi To commune in particular. Based on the results of a household survey (70 households), the study evaluated the effectiveness of agricultural land use on 03 factors: Economic, social, and environmental. Synthesizing the effectiveness of land use types, 03 types of land use with high efficiency were selected. These are: LUT 3 (Perennial industrial crops); LUT 4 (Fruit trees); LUT 5 (Medicinal plants) with better growing conditions than other types of land use.
