14. Criteria for determining indicators of land use according to functional areas of land use planning in district-level

Abstract

Making targets and plans in land use is an indispensable element and a decisive factor to the efficient use of land and other natural resources. Depending on the land use and management policies in different periods and different historical periods, the land use indicator will be adjusted differently to suit the requirements of economic, social, national defense and security development. All of the land use systems should aim to the general principle of rational use of land resources, ensuring sustainable development, exploiting the strengths of each area; allocating and zoning the land according to space used for socio-economic development, national defense and security, environmental protection and climate change adaptation. Based on theoretical basis research, after assessing the current situation of land use indicators and criteria for land use indicators by functional zones in land use planning, the research team proposed the criteria for land use indicators by functional zone in district-level.
