14. Drivers for revising environmental protection Law in Vietnam
Abstract
This study aims to systematize factors leading to changes of Vietnam’s Law on Environmental Protection. The research results showed that the driving forces leading to changes in environmental laws and regulations were international integration involvement and unsustainable development. In addition, scientific research on the environment is also an important factor to support state management agencies to recognize current environmental problems, inadequacies in viewpoints, policies and overlaps between legal institutions and the implementation of legal documents related to the environment. The involvement of experts to analyze all of the above issues is requied in order to make the Law on Environmental Protection which is more complete and easier to put into practice.
