11. Methods for optimizing parameters of ImechTV2 distributed hydrological model

Abstract

To simulate the process of runoff from rain, hydrological models often use a set of many different parameters, depending on conditions of each basin. In this study, the ImechTV2 distributed hydrological model integrated six optimization methods was applied for Ban Chat, Ban Ve and PleiKrong basins, thereby automatically detecting the most suitable parameters for each basin. Results of model calibration and variation showed that the application of these optimal detection methods was highly effective, reduced the forecasters’ work and improved the quality of forecast reports.
