04. Evaluation of compensation, support, resettlement when the state recovers land in Hoang Mai district, Hanoi city
Abstract
This study aims to evaluate the current status of compensation, support and resettlement when the State recovers land in Hoang Mai district, Hanoi city. Based on interviews with 60 households whose land was recovered and 30 officials performing compensation, support and resettlement work in 02 research projects; Project to build a road connecting the eastern road of Hoang Mai district administrative area to Tam Trinh street with a land acquisition area of 44,315.0 m2, mainly agricultural land area (96.65 %) of 257 households family, individual and 01 organization; Tam Trinh street construction project in Hoang Van Thu ward, land recovery area is 3,768.97 m2, the number of households and individuals who have had land recovered is 74 households and 6 organizations. Through collected data, we have compared and evaluated the current status of implementation of compensation, support and resettlement work in 02 planning projects and at the same time grasped advantages such as people's willingness to cooperate and coordinate; Help people stabilize their lives and feel secure in production. However, there are still difficulties in the process of implementing compensation, support and resettlement work, such as the difference in the State's compensation price with the market price. From the above situation, Hoang Mai district needs solutions to improve the effectiveness of compensation, support and resettlement in the district.
