Greenhouse gas inventory at Casla joint stock company, Chau Son industrial park, Phu Ly city, Ha Nam province

Abstract

The study was conducted at Casla joint stock company, Chau Son industrial park, Ha Nam, to inventory greenhouse gas emissions and propose solutions to reduce emissions, in compliance with Circular No. 38/2023/TT-BCT by the Ministry of Industry and Trade dated December 27, 2023 on technical guidance for measuring, reporting and assessing greenhouse gas emission reduction in the industry and trade sector. The primary emission sources identified include electricity consumption from the grid (9,076.214 tons of CO₂e), fuel combustion (325.486 tons of CO₂e), use of refrigerant gas (0.815 tons of CO₂e), fire fighting equipment (252.182 tons of CO₂e) and wastewater treatment (1.229 tons of CO₂e), of which electricity consumption is the largest emission source. The study provided information to help businesses navigate the search for appropriate emission reduction solutions.
