The individual social work model in supporting and intervening for students who are victims of cyberbullying
Abstract
In the context of increasingly developed society and information technology, the economy and human life have undergone significant changes. However, alongside the benefits and positive changes, many negative consequences have also emerged, including social media violence - a phenomenon that is becoming more common, especially among students. In reality, the issue of social media violence lacks a comprehensive support model for victims. Therefore, the research group decided to apply the individual social work model to support students affected by social media violence. This article is part of the scientific research topic of students from the University of Labor and Social Affairs: "Individual social work with students who are victims of social media violence in Hanoi" for the academic year 2023 - 2024. The research group conducted a survey on the status of social media violence at several universities in Hanoi, proposing an individual social work model to intervene and support students who are victims of social media violence, while also opening new development directions for other support models, aiming to better address the issue of social media violence.
