President Ho Chi Minh's thoughts on physical education development

Abstract

    On January 31, 1946, President Ho Chi Minh signed Decree No. 14, establishing the Central Gymnastics Department under the Ministry of Youth, the forerunner of today's sports industry. The birth of the sport industry has the task of closely communicating with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education and Training to research methods and practice of gymnastics nationwide to strengthen the national health and improve the race of Vietnamese. That means President Ho Chi Minh was very interested in physical training and sports. In this article, the author gives some views of President Ho Chi Minh on the role of physical education and then applies it to the physical education development in our country today.
