Abstract

For trade unions, when Vietnam joins new generation free trade agreements, it is the law that allows the establishment of workers' organizations at enterprises. The appearance of workers' organizations in enterprises outside of Vietnam's trade union organization threatens to slowly increase or even decrease the number of union members as well as the number of grassroots trade unions. The work of developing union members and grassroots trade unions will have to compete with workers' organizations at enterprises. The problem is attracting, mobilizing and persuading employees and workers' organizations at enterprises to join the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to comply with the provisions of the Trade Union Law.
