RELIATY AND SOME FACTORS AFFECTINGNURSING MANPOWERAT 6 HOSPITALS IN THAI BINH PROVINCE IN 2017

Abstract

Objective: Describe the current situationof nursing manpower and some factors affecting the current status of nursing manpower at 6 hospitals in Thai Binh province in 2017. Methods: Analytical cross-sectional description, a combination of qualitative research and quantitative research. Results: The ratio of doctors / nurses in Thai Binh is 1/2 that is lower than that stipulated in Circular 08/2007/TTLT-BYT-BNV: 1/3 - 1/3,5. Female nursing staff accounts for 84%. At provincial hospitals, nurses who are at Intermediate level accounts for 55.2% and at district hospitals: 62.4%. The working condition makes up67.6% in comparison with actual demand. 18.8% of nurses believes that they are doing a lot of work. Conclusion: The leader board of the hospitals need to arrange the work for nurses logically and give nurses chances to participate in training classes to improve their knowledge and nursing skills. For nurses, they need to be more active and know how to balance their work more effectively,especially for female nurses.
