The outcome of nursing care for patients undergoing Bipolar partial hip replacement surgery at 108 Central Military Hospital in 2023
Abstract
Objective: to evaluate the results of nursing care for patients undergoing Bipolar partial hip replacement surgery at 108 Military Central Hospital in 2023. Research method: Cross-sectional description on 124 patients with a diagnosis of a femoral neck fracture and a Bipolar partial hip replacement at the Joint Surgery Department of 108 Military Central Hospital. Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing care based on the Harris scale, Wong-Baker FACES Pain Rating Scale and patient satisfaction. Results: Care activities: 12.1% of patients had surgical wound drainage; 3.2% of patients had urinary drainage. Patients receiving psychological care accounted for 92.7%, patients whose dressings were changed twice a day reached 97.6%. Guidance and consulting activities: Guidance on hospital regulations accounts for 91.9%; advice on preventing complications accounts for 88.7%; counseling on medication compliance accounts for 87.9%; consultation on re-examination accounts for 95.1%; Exercise instructions account for 96.0%; Nutritional care instructions account for 82.2%. It was 100% of patients were satisfied with the nursing care activities, in which: 55.7% of patients were very satisfied, 25.8% were satisfied, and 15.5% were neutral. Conclusion: It was 100% of patients were satisfied with the nursing care activities. The overall rate of good nursing care results is 83.9%, 16.1% are not good.
