RESEARCH ON THE INFLUENCE OF PLANTING MEDIA ON THE GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT ABILITY OF SOME VARIETIES OF PETUNIA FLOWER (PETUNIA HYBRIDA L.) IN POTS

Abstract

Petunia flowers are suitable for growing on loose planting media that retain moisture well, breathable and rich in nutrients. In this study, the most suitable planting media for petunia flowers is when grown in pots with a mixture of soil: coconut coir: smoked rice husk in the ratio 3:2:1 for all 3 flower varieties FPET 120; FPET 904; FPET 600. Experimental data is shown in specific growth and flower quality indicators as follows: Total flowering time from 106.5 - 121.9 days; The number of flowers reaches 47.2 - 68.1 flowers/plant; flower diameter reaches 7.0 - 8.4 cm; Flower durability 6.1 - 7.9 days.
