STUDY ON MEDICINAL PLANTS BIODIVERSITY IN PU HU NATURE RESERVE, THANH HOA PROVICE

Abstract

The results on medicinal plants biodiversity in Pu Hu nature reserve showed that the composition of medicinal plant species was identified with 187 species, belonging to the 155 genera, 70 families of four divisions of vascular plants (Magnoliophyta, Polypodiophyta, Pinaceae Lycopodiophyta). In which, the division Magnoliophyta has the most abundant medicinal plants with 181species, 149 genera, 64 families.Medicinal plants belong to 6 main stem types, of which there are 3 dominant stem types which are woody plants (56 species), shrubs (54 species), herbaceous (53 species); 3 the other types are vines (21 species), cow bodies (2 species), parasitic bodies (1 species). Habitat in primary forest dominates with 76 species; 37 in secondary forests; roadside, wasteland, field banks contain 34 species; gardens possess 24 species; shrub forests have 11 species; streams and valleys have 6 species; Underwater contains 1 species. The survey showed that, there are 8 parts of plant which can be used for medicine were identified with 2 uses, fresh and dry. We also identify 13 medicinal plant species that need to be protected.
