DISTRIBUTION CHARACTERISTICS OF THE BLACK GINGER SPECIES IN PU LUONG NATURE RESERVE IN THANH HOA PROVINCE
Abstract
Kaempferia parviflora Wall. Ex Baker is a medicinal plant belong to the family Zingiberaceae. It has been discovered naturally distributed in Pu Luong Nature Reserve, Thanh Hoa province since 2013. Investigation results show that, this specíe appears in 3/10 survey transects. The frequency of encountering the species on transect where the species appears is 4.28 bushes/km. The plant is distributed mainly in sub-zones 264 and 271, forest status IIA, IIB and IIIA; places with attitude 652m above sea level, mountainous areas, 80.9% in mountainside, 19.1% in mountain low level; where the soil is rich in humus, has high moisture and porosity, and is aerated; canopy cover ranges from 0.2 to 0.5; coverage rate from 37 to 54%. The species does not grow in barren areas. The distribution of Kaempferia parviflora Wall. Ex Bakerdoes not depend on the species composition of tall tres and shrubs, but depends on natural conditions and forest types.
