Factors affecting the sustainable ecotourism development: A case study in Ca Mau Province

Abstract

This study determines the influence of factors from sustainable ecotourism development in Ca Mau Province. By using descriptive statistics methods, Cronbach’s Alpha, Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) are employed in this study. The results of data analysis show that there are 08 factors affecting the sustainable ecotourism development in Ca Mau including Human resources; Economic resources; Environmental resources; the factor of infrastructure; Cultural and social resources; Tourism management policy; regional integration factors; Natural resources. Of which, Human resources have the greatest influence on sustainable ecotourism development in Ca Mau. From the research results, some recommendations were proposed to enhance sustainable ecotourism development in Ca Mau.
