Awareness of digital transformation in education of learners joining an online digital transformation course

Abstract

The current study aims to investigate learners’ awareness of digital transformations in education. The study involved the participation of 271 teachers of different levels and education managers, who joined an online digital transformation course. The instrument employed was an online questionnaire survey about the participants’ awareness of digital transformation in education. The results revealed that the majority of the participants (54.2%) stated that the course could meet their expectations. However, their awareness of the core information related to digital transformation in education in the course was at a very low level (M = 1.47). In addition, a wide variety of the participants’ answers was found with SD = 1.08. From the results, some recommendations were proposed in order to improve the quality of the digital transformation courses in the future.
