Creativity quotient status measured by TSD-Z method in Tue Tinh High School students, Hai Duong provine, 2018

Abstract

   The aim of the study was to determine the status of creative quotient (CQ) of students in Tue Tinh High School, Cam Giang district, Hai Duong province. The study was conducted on 354 students (16 - 18 years old, 203 girls, 151 boys). The method to determine CQ was the test for creative thinking - drawing production (TCT-DP). Results showed that the rate of students' creative levels is: 46% in the deeply below average level; 26% in the below average level; 23% in the average level; 4% in above average level; 1% in highly above average level. The proportion of boys in average and above average creative level is higher than that in girls. The percentage of students in average creative level was highest in grade 10. In terms of component indicators in TSD-Z creative testing, students in grade 10 exhibited high levels of "additional", "new molecular", "link", "perspective", "burlesque" and "no mold" skills; 11th grade students demonstrated the highest ability of "combine"; 12th grade students show the highest score in "tricky"skill. Girls had higher scores than boys in "extend", "additional" and "out of frame" indicators and boys had higher scores than girls in "link" and "no mold" indicators.
