Investigation of urbanization impact on drainage coefficient in the Northern delta

Abstract

       This article indicates the result of the relationship between design drainage coefficient and urbanization level of a typical catchment area in the Northern Delta with scenarios of urbanization from level 0 (urban area occupies 0% of total catchment area) to level 7 (urban area occupies 100% of total catchment area). The dynamic rainfall-runoff simulation model - SWMM was used to simulate Tay Me Linh drainage system. That result can be used to determine the design drainage coefficient for catchment areas in the Northern Delta with corresponding urbanization level.
